Welcome to Arrowsmith Cottage – a clean, comfortable and casually stylish home base for a carefree Martha's Vineyard vacation, any time of year.
Set in a pleasant residential neighborhood midway between the down-island towns of Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven, this well-appointed cottage sleeps up to 4 guests (including infants and children). It offers easy one-floor living with just a few steps to enter: an open-concept kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas, two private bedrooms and a full bath with a tub/shower combination. Out back, a 3-season enclosed porch holds the "outdoor" shower and washer/dryer, and out front there's a spacious deck and an open, grassy yard.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
• Bedroom 1: Queen bed, bureau and closet with full-length mirror, with a private door to the 3-season porch
• Bedroom 2: Two twin beds and a closet with hanging shelves
The kitchen, living and dining areas can be closed off from the bedroom hallway – perfect for early-to-bedders and late risers.

LOCATION
Eastville Point Beach is about 0.9 mile away, and the town centers, harbors and ferry terminals of Oak Bluffs (1.6 miles) and Vineyard Haven (2.0 miles) are close by. A car is recommended for the most flexibility, but the paved bike path and VTA bus route are just 100 feet from the front door. (Families should note that walking or biking to town or the beach does involve traveling along busy roads.)
A fun bit of history: the cottage was owned for many years by author bell hooks and was where she stayed when visiting Martha's Vineyard – some of her furnishings remain part of the decor today.
